Bug fixes: mixed-bag species now save correctly, camera no longer loses form data, text overflow improvements.

Fixes from real field testing: • Fixed species/method labels getting cut off on some Android devices — device-specific display scaling was squeezing the selection chips into fixed-width columns with no "...", so longer names like "Chinese water deer" or "Feral hog / wild boar" were silently clipped. Every label now always shows in full. • Fixed a blank/black map on phones with weaker graphics hardware — satellite imagery could fail to render silently on some devices. Added a Standard/Satellite toggle on the map so you can switch to the much lighter vector view if satellite doesn't render on your phone. • Corrected Chinese Water Deer for Scotland — verified with NatureScot and the British Deer Society that there's no established population there, so the app now gives a clear answer instead of just omitting the species.

This update focuses on real feedback from field users: • Diary entries can now be viewed, edited and deleted after logging — add notes, a photo, or correct rounds fired later. Ammo and firearm counts stay in sync automatically. • Firearms, ammunition and reloads in the Gunroom now support notes. • Fixed a silent save failure when adding an "Other" document. • New map layer: see your shot quarry alongside your traps, with a species filter — useful for landowner reporting. • Fixed live GPS following on the map (was defaulting to a fixed location). • Expanded and corrected legal data for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland — deer species and approved traps now properly researched against primary legislation.

This update fixes real issues, several reported directly by users out in the field: • Map location: the map previously only checked for location permission rather than properly requesting it, and only tried once per session. Fixed — it now correctly asks for permission and follows your live position, which matters if you're using the map to navigate back to a trap. • Scotland & Wales legal data: deer species and approved trap lists for Scotland and Wales were significantly incomplete compared to England (Wales was missing several deer species entirely, and both nations were missing most of the approved trap library). Researched against the actual Spring Traps Approval Orders and the Deer Act 1991, and corrected. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to report issues properly — it's exactly what makes this app more trustworthy for everyone using it.

This update fixes issues reported by users, including one specific to iPhone and iPad: • Trap pins on the map: on iOS, tapping a trap pin could open Apple Maps' own info bubble instead of Set & Shot's own screen, with no way through to lift or remove it. Fixed — tapping a pin now always opens the trap screen, where "Lift this trap" clearly removes the pin from the map. • Diary calendar: fixed a display bug where the week only showed Monday to Saturday — Sunday now appears correctly every week. • Gunroom trap counter: the trap list only showed traps with a Spring Trap Approval Order, since that's a legal reference list. Live-catch and cage traps (Larsen, mink raft, multi-catch) aren't restricted the same way, so they were missing — you can now add your own trap types to count them too. Thanks to everyone sending in feedback, especially the iPhone users who helped track this one down. Keep it coming.

This update strengthens the gunroom and document vault with a new backup PIN, so they're protected even on a phone without fingerprint or face unlock set up. Also new: • Add a photo to any diary entry • Mark pigeon hides and high seats on the map • Small fixes and improvements
