Spineless? is a habit-quitting tracker with a cartoon worm living inside it. Tell it what you are giving up and it starts a clock. Keep the streak and it is proud of you. Break it and it has notes.
THE CLOCK
Vaping, smoking, drinking, doomscrolling, caffeine, gambling, junk food, hitting snooze, or anything else you can name. Already stopped? Backdate the start and the clock picks up from there.
The clock counts every day, hour and minute (and every second of day one), and a ring fills toward your target: 7, 30, 60, 100 or 365 days. Tap "Still clean today" to check in and build a check-in run on top of the streak. Milestones get a word from the worm.
THE WORM
Eight moods and an opinion about everything. You pick how mean it gets: Soft Worm is warm and encouraging, Sassy Worm is the house voice, and Roast Mode (Backbone) does not hold back. The worm, like the rest of the app, speaks English, French and German.
The one thing it will not do is kick you when you are properly down. Lose a two-hour streak on Sassy Worm and you will get roasted. Lose a month or more and the jokes stop in every mode, because that streak was real and one bad day does not take it back.
WHEN YOU SLIP
Tap "I caved" and the worm reacts. Log what set it off (stress, boredom, other people, a party, plain autopilot or no idea) and write down what happened. Every slip is saved with its trigger and note, and Backbone adds a trigger breakdown that shows the pattern behind the slips.
Tapped it by accident? You get 45 seconds to take it back, and your streak returns exactly as it was.
WHAT IT ADDS UP TO
Tell it what the habit cost you per day, in money and in minutes, and it totals the money you have not spent and the hours you have won back since you stopped.
PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
No account. No sign-up. No analytics. No ads. Your habits, streaks and notes live in a file on your device, and the app never sends them anywhere, so we could not read them if we wanted to. The only connection the app makes is to Apple's App Store, for Backbone prices and purchases. On first launch, "Just look around" lets you in without entering anything, and "Delete everything" in Settings wipes every habit, streak and note.
FREE, AND BACKBONE
One habit, the clock and the worm are free forever. The free tier includes the target ring, daily check-ins, slip logging with triggers and notes, the 45-second undo, the money and time totals, the last 30 days of slip history, an optional daily reminder at 8 PM, and the worm as Soft Worm or Sassy Worm.
Backbone, the paid tier, adds unlimited habits (each with its own worm), Roast Mode, six worm outfits, your complete slip history, the trigger breakdown, your own reminder time, and CSV export of every slip and note.

Prices are in US dollars; the App Store shows your local price before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it does. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
