Reading the answers is not the same as saying them. Practice the civics questions out loud, get instant feedback, and walk in already used to speaking.
The real test is a conversation. An officer asks you questions out loud, and you answer out loud. This app is the only one built around that.
Tap the microphone, hear the question, say your answer. The app tells you what it heard and whether an officer would accept it — because "you got it wrong" and "we misheard you" are very different problems.
WHICH TEST THIS IS FOR
This app covers both civics tests that are currently in use.
If you filed Form N-400 on or after October 20, 2025, you take the 2025 test: 128 questions, 20 asked, 12 correct to pass.
If you filed before that date, you take the older test: 100 questions, 10 asked, 6 correct to pass.
The app asks your filing date once and uses the right test from then on.
WHAT YOU GET
• The spoken interview. Hear each question, answer with your voice.
• Every official question, with the accepted answers written exactly as USCIS publishes them — several answers are accepted for most questions, and knowing that is part of arriving calm.
• A practice test scored like the real one. It stops the moment your result is decided, exactly as the officer does.
• Flashcards that start with what you missed.
• Your state's answers: capital, senators, governor — with the date each one was verified, and a link to the USCIS page that keeps them current.
HOW WE TREAT YOUR ANSWERS
Speech recognition runs on your iPhone. Your voice never leaves the device and never reaches a server. You are in the middle of an immigration process; sending your voice anywhere would be disrespectful as well as risky.
No account. No sign-up. Works with no connection.
WHAT IT COSTS
The questions, the flashcards, the practice test and your state's answers are free, with no ads. They are public material published by the government.
The interview mode is a single payment. No subscription — you are studying for a test, not renting a gym. When you pass, you are done with us.
ABOUT THE ANSWERS THAT CHANGE
Some answers change with elections — the President, the Vice President, the Speaker of the House, the Chief Justice — and so does your governor. USCIS does not even print these; it points to its updates page. We show them with the date we verified them, and the link. A name without a date is an answer that quietly becomes false.
Not affiliated with USCIS or any government agency. The civics questions are public material published by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
