WHAT "CHECKED" ACTUALLY MEANS
Two different things, shown separately on every profile, each dated with the month it was done. We never roll them into a single score.
An ID check. The caregiver submits a government ID through our verification provider, and we show the month it was accepted.
A background check. Requested by the caregiver, reviewed by our team, and dated on the profile. Today that is our own review — not yet a criminal-records search through a screening provider. We would rather tell you that than let you assume it.
If a badge is not on a profile, we have not checked. That is all it means. There is no greyed-out badge for a check that has not happened, and no average that hides which one is missing.

1. Say where you are and what kind of care you need. No form to fill in before you can see anything.
2. See who is nearby — their rate, their experience, and what has been checked.
3. Message them, agree the details, and book when you are ready.
WHAT IT COSTS
Browsing, profiles and checks cost nothing. Messaging a caregiver is part of a family subscription at $19.99/month, and that is the only thing Nivo charges for.
You pay the caregiver directly, at the rate the two of you agree. The money does not pass through Nivo, so nothing is deducted from their hours.
Caregivers never pay — not to join, not to apply, not to get hired.
WE ARE EARLY, AND WE WOULD RATHER SAY SO
Nivo Care is new. In some areas there are not many caregivers yet. The app shows you exactly who is actually there — we do not pad the list and we do not invent profiles to look busier than we are.
