Diamond Scout Score Keeper
Baseball Answers to Questions
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Diamond Scout started from the questions a mom, dad, player, or coach actually asks, before first pitch and while the game is on.
What’s the score and what’s the count are two of those questions. They are not the only ones, and they are not how this app was built.
THE QUESTIONS
1. Will the game or practice be played?
Rain, delay, and lightning timed to first pitch, not “sometime this evening.”
2. How has the weather hit the field?
Dirt vs turf vs a park that tarps. Overnight rain is not treated like downtown weather. League commission can easily prove to parents, fields are closed due to saturation even if it is sunny now.
3. I know it’s hot now, but what about the 5th?
Jacket, pack, and whether it cools in the late innings.
4. Is the wind blowing out? Can I swing for home runs?
Mark home plate and the CF wall. Homerun odds are for this diamond.
5. Will the wind help a fastball or hurt it?
Park wind on the field, not a ZIP code.
6. What are other parents saying?
Team talk, including the weather call, on the same game.
7. Why did my kid come off the mound?
Pitch count vs the league cap (game and 3-day). Caps warn. They do not lock a kid out.
8. Why is the inning over after 6 runs?
The team’s run rule is on the book.
9. Why did they just stop the game?
Rec clock: no new inning at 1:45, hard-stop alert at 2:00. The app never ends the game for you.
10. What’s the score? What’s the count?
Live board. One scorer. Undo instead of confirm every pitch. Parents and players watch the same board (Classic, MLB, Arcade).
ALSO IN THE APP
Roster faces and numbers so coaches can learn the kids. Practice check for a non-game night. Import a calendar if that is how the week is shared. The scoreboard does not leave this app.
WHO IT’S FOR
Parents in the bleachers. Players who want the wind and the count. Coaches who write the book and still have to answer the sideline.
IMPORTANT
Informational only. Not an official weather service or association ruling. Crew chiefs and local lightning policies decide stoppages. Scout helps you plan. It does not decide for you.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
GameDay is easier to read — paper cards, a clear wear call, and feels by inning with a late-game reminder. Play and delay calls are more honest: light rain stays a delay, not a rainout.
