Improved • A fresh coat of color. ListenUp now wears the cyan from its icon, in buttons, the waveform and the trim handles. • Bigger Record and Stop buttons. The one button you need at any moment is now easier to hit.

New • Record only the apps you choose. Pick one app or several from the From menu under the Record button, or from Record From in the menu bar icon's menu, and ListenUp captures just their audio — no notification sounds or other apps sneaking in. • Space plays and pauses. Press Space to play the selection and again to pause it. Improved • Pause instead of stop. Playing again picks up where you paused rather than starting over.

New • A Recording menu with keyboard shortcuts. ⌘R starts or stops a recording, ⌘P plays the selection, ⌘T trims silence, ⌘S saves. • Trim from the keyboard. Tab to a trim handle and use the arrow keys — a tenth of a second per press, or a whole second with Shift. • Works with VoiceOver. The trim handles, waveform and recording timer are all labeled, and ListenUp tells you when a recording starts, is ready to trim, and is saved. Improved • Respects Reduce Motion. The recording dot holds still instead of pulsing. • Respects Increase Contrast. The trimmed-away part of the waveform and the handles are easier to see. • Auto-Trim Silence now says so when there's nothing to trim, instead of seeming to do nothing.

New • Record from the menu bar. Switch on "Show in Menu Bar" in the ListenUp menu and a waveform icon appears up top. Click it to start recording, click it again to stop — without leaving whatever app you're in. While it records, the icon counts the time alongside it. • Stopping brings the recording to you. ListenUp comes forward with the new recording ready to trim, in a window of its own, so anything you were already trimming stays exactly as you left it. • Stays put in the menu bar. With the menu bar icon switched on, closing the window leaves ListenUp running instead of quitting — so a recording in progress is never lost along with it. Improved • Tidier window. Dropped a second "ListenUp" heading inside the window; the title bar already says it.
