EasyStills turns a finished video into social-ready stills/motion in about a minute.
Drop a clip in, and it watches every frame, finds where the cuts are, and gives you one card per shot — already showing the sharpest frame of that shot. No scrubbing a timeline hunting for a good moment, and no wall of near-identical thumbnails.
Pick the frames you want, and EasyStills stacks them into a finished image at exact pixel sizes: 1080x1920 vertical, 1080x1350 portrait, or 1080x1080 square. Export, or AirDrop straight to your phone.
• One card per shot, not a blind sample. Shot detection runs over every frame, so half-second cuts are found — not skipped.
• Land on the exact frame. Each card has its own scrubber and single-frame arrows, so you can nudge to the precise moment inside that shot.
• Your framing, kept. Stills hold the aspect ratio you shot. Prefer edge-to-edge? Turn it off and they fill the canvas — centre-cropped, never stretched.
• Frame-accurate. What you pick is the frame you get, at full resolution.
MAKE A SET, NOT ONE POST
• Load several videos into one session and mix their stills in a single layout — drop more clips right onto the grid.
• Build as many layouts as you like. Each remembers its own frames.
• A shot already used in another layout is flagged, so you don't repeat yourself.
• Style once and it applies everywhere — gap, border, corners, background.
• Export or AirDrop them all in one go.
35MM FILM STYLE
Turn one switch and your stack becomes a strip of 35mm film — perforations running continuously down both edges, frame lines between the stills. Add your own credit line — split it across two lines, ALL CAPS or as typed, nudged exactly where you want it.
MOTION: MAKE IT MOVE
Turn any layout into a short looping video instead of a still. Each frame plays forward through its shot, then back — a one-second shot loops a few times, a three-second shot plays through once, and every shot lands together at whatever total length you choose: 4, 6, 8, 10, 15 seconds, or your own. Exports as a silent MP4, ready to post.
COLOR DNA
Switch to Color DNA and your film becomes one picture: every moment from the first frame to the last, side by side.
• Four looks:
– Classic stripes
– Sound: the soundtrack draws the shape
– Shots: one block per shot, holding its colours
– Story: brightness, colour and warmth across the running time
• Hover to look inside the film. Click to choose the frame that goes on the poster.
• Posters at exact sizes (vertical, portrait, square, or wide 4K for prints), with your title, credit and the film's palette. Click any colour to copy its hex code.
• The moving version plays the film while its DNA paints in, and ends on the poster. Short films play in real time with their own sound.
• Join several videos into one poster: a showreel, a series, your year in colour.
DETAILS THAT MATTER
• Full-size preview renders at true export resolution, so you judge the real thing.
• Set an export folder once; after that, exporting is a single click.
• Cull shots you don't want and restore them later — nothing is thrown away.
• Optional "Made with EasyStills" mark, off by default — turn it on if you'd like to show your support.
• Portrait and rotated phone footage is read the right way up.

PRIVACY
EasyStills has no network code at all. Your footage never leaves your Mac, nothing is uploaded, and nothing is tracked.
Works with graded exports — H.264, HEVC and ProRes in MOV or MP4. Camera RAW formats such as BRAW and R3D are not supported.
