Tsukiwake is a savings app for getting the things you want by the date you want them.
It is not an expense tracker. It does not record what you spend. The only thing you record is money going into a jar.
■ How it works
1. Make a jar — "Trip to Europe, ¥200,000, by August next year"
2. The amount to save each month appears at the top
3. Add money whenever you like — just choose which jar gets how much
4. When a jar is full, go do the thing. What you fulfilled stays as a record
■ The monthly figure works itself out
¥60,000 in two months and ¥240,000 in twelve comes to ¥50,000 a month. Once the nearer one is done, next month drops to ¥20,000 on its own.
Skip a month and the remainder is divided across the months that are left, so the figure climbs. Keep the pace and everything arrives.
■ A photo of the thing you're saving for
Put one photo on a jar — the place you want to go, the thing you want to own. The more you save, the clearer it gets.
■ It won't let you forget to move the money
This app is not connected to any bank account. After you add money here, it always reminds you to transfer that amount to your savings account, and it stays on your home screen until you do. So the numbers never drift from reality.
■ The total is deliberately hidden
Savings last longer when you're not watching the total. So this app shows it nowhere. The only figure it gives you is how much to put in this month.
■ A quiet screen
Fully monochrome — no color anywhere. Photos have their color removed too. Light and dark mode both supported.
■ Japanese and English
Switch the language inside the app, from Settings. Your device can stay in its own language.
■ About your data
Everything stays on your device. No account, no ads, nothing sent anywhere.
■ Upgrade (one payment)
"Your pace" tells you, from what you've actually saved, whether you'll make each date. It shows how many months late each jar runs, and which date to push back for the most relief.
Without buying it, jars and the monthly figure keep working exactly as before.
