THE PROPERTY IS THE THING THAT LASTS
Not a folder of files. The property is the record, and documents, photos, people, agreements, money, contents and work attach to it over the years. Sell it and the history is archived, not deleted.
ANSWERS, NOT ARCHIVES
Who owns it. When it was bought. Where the deed is. What the mortgage is. When the insurance expires. Who the tenant is. What was fixed, by whom, and what it cost. Open the property and the answer is there.
FOR THE WHOLE LIFECYCLE
Interested, buying, owned, improving, renting, selling. One record carries a property through all of it, so what you gathered while buying is still there when you come to sell.
RENTALS, WITH THE AWKWARD PARTS COVERED
Tenants, agreements, and the condition a place was in at check-in — recorded with photos, room by room, while it is still true. Which is the point at which it is worth anything.
MAINTENANCE THAT REMEMBERS
Repairs, renovations, warranties and who did the work. The roof has a history, and it is worth having when the same patch leaks again in four years.
WHAT IS IN IT, TOO
Rooms and spaces, and the contents in them. With Kod Inventory the furnished flat's inventory is the same record, not a second list to keep in step.
WHAT IS STILL MISSING
Selling, remortgaging and letting all come with somebody's list of documents. Kod Property works with Kod Case so a property's paperwork can be checked off against the list that actually matters, and can ask other people for what only they have.
ENCRYPTED ON YOUR DEVICE
Everything is encrypted before it is written down, with a key derived from a master password only you know. Not a login: there is no account, no server of ours, and nothing to sign up for. Deeds, mortgages and tenancies are nobody else's business.
SYNCS THROUGH YOUR OWN iCLOUD
Your devices stay in step through your private iCloud database, and what travels is already encrypted. Apple stores something it has no key for. Kod Property opens and works with no network at all.
ONE VAULT, SEVERAL APPS
Kod Property reads and writes the same encrypted vault as Kod, Kod Identity, Kod Case and Kod Inventory. Documents are referenced rather than copied. Kod Property is complete on its own.
NO RECOVERY, BY DESIGN
No copy of your master password exists anywhere, so nobody can be persuaded to hand your data over — and nobody can get it back for you either. That is the trade, stated plainly rather than in the small print.
