Ear Up: Music Ear Training
Intervals, Chords, Progression
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Ear Up turns ear training into a game you'll actually want to play every day — intervals, chords, progressions, and perfect pitch, in quick rounds that build real recognition.
Musicians, singers, and producers all hit the same wall: you can play the right notes, but can you hear them? Ear Up trains that skill directly — not memorized answers, but the ability to recognize what you hear.
TRAIN FOUR CORE SKILLS
• Intervals (relative pitch) — name the distance between two notes, from a minor 2nd to a full octave
• Chords — recognize chord quality by ear: major, minor, diminished, augmented, sus2/sus4, 7ths, and add9
• Progressions — identify common progressions like I–V–vi–IV and ii–V–I, played in pop and rock arrangements
• Perfect Pitch — name notes cold, starting with white keys and widening to a 7-octave range
LEVEL UP AT YOUR OWN PACE
Every skill has three or four difficulty levels, from a few easy-to-tell-apart choices up to Master — close look-alikes, extended chords, and wide pitch ranges included. Custom practice lets you drill exactly the intervals, chords, or progressions you choose.
HEAR REAL INSTRUMENTS
Switch between piano, guitar, synth, and cello so your ear learns real instrument timbres.
