MarkDe is a Markdown editor built natively for macOS. No web wrapper, no bundled browser, no command-line tools to install first. It opens instantly, edits smoothly, and stays out of the way of your writing. WRITE AND SEE IT AT ONCE Your Markdown sits beside a live preview that scrolls in step with you. Headings, tables, task lists, blockquotes, and fenced code blocks all render as you type. A document outline tracks your structure as it grows, alongside a running count of words, characters, lines, paragraphs, and estimated reading time. Your documents live in the folders you choose. Turn on iCloud and they sync through your own Apple Account, visible to you and nobody else. The app collects nothing, because there is nothing it needs to know about you. Requires macOS 14 or later. Universal — runs natively on Apple silicon and Intel.
