Cut and Sew is a pattern projector built to prove your scale is exact. It turns your Mac and a projector into a cutting table: it beams your PDF sewing pattern onto the fabric at true 1:1 - then makes you measure a test square with a tape so you KNOW one inch projected is one inch cut. Bumped the projector mid-project? Re-verify in under a minute. That verified-accuracy loop is the whole point, and it's always free.
WHAT SETS CUT AND SEW APART
- Seam allowance, add or remove - project a second cut line at an exact offset from the pattern edge.
- Thick-fabric compensation - a reversible correction so lofty fabric still reads true 1:1 without recalibrating.
- Grainline/line tool with live length, and a clean external-display projection: the pattern goes full-screen while controls stay on your device (not screen mirroring).
BUILT FOR REAL PATTERNS
- Import single large-format (A0/copy-shop) PDFs, or multi-page tiled PDFs - Cut and Sew stitches the tiles automatically. Drag a PDF onto the window to import.
- Show only your size on layered patterns.
- Pan, rotate, mirror, and nudge by an exact measurement to place pieces.
- Invert colors, pick custom projection colors, and boost line thickness so lines pop on any fabric.
- Check off pieces as you cut; your place is saved.
MORE THAN CUTTING
Project applique placement, quilting layouts, and embellishment maps - beadwork, rhinestones, sequins, and embroidery - straight onto your fabric, so every bead, stone, and piece lands exactly where it should. If you can save it as a PDF, you can project it at true size.
NO PROJECTOR? STILL USEFUL
- Print at home on Letter, A4, A3, or Legal - with a measure-first test square on page 1 and an assembly map.
- Or export ONE true-scale file to email a copy shop.
