Twelve months, one well-kept house. A licensed contractor tells you what to
do this month, what it should cost, and when the weather changes the plan.
You don't have to become a house expert. We're the expert. You just have to
show up when we call.
The House Year is a licensed general contractor's maintenance plan for your
specific house — not a generic checklist. Tell us your ZIP code and a few
facts (when it was built, what heats it, what the roof is), and your year
assembles itself: every month, a short list of the right work for your house
in your climate.
WHAT YOU GET EVERY MONTH
• A short list — most months it's five to eight items, not thirty
• Why each one matters for your house, in plain language
• Both paths on every card: do it yourself with real steps, or hire it out
without getting screwed
• The fair local price for the job — and the upsell red flags to watch for
when the service van shows up
THE WEATHER CALLS THE SHOTS
When your forecast turns — first freeze, hard freeze, heavy rain, high wind,
a heat wave — we tell you what to do before it lands, not after. And we will
never send you more than two notifications a week. That's a promise, not a
setting.
BUILT AROUND YOUR HOUSE
Crawlspace or slab. Heat pump or gas furnace. Well or city water. Fireplace,
deck, gutters. Your county's freeze dates, humidity, and termite pressure.
The plan is generated from what your house actually is — a 1950s basement
house in Minnesota gets a different year than a 2015 slab house in Phoenix.
JUST MOVED IN?
Tell us. Your first months include the settling-in work nobody tells new
owners about — where the shutoffs are, what filter sizes to write down, what
the last owner probably skipped.
ONE HONEST PRICE
The free plan is real: your full Reveal, every month's list, and three
complete task cards — and it never expires. The full House Year — every
card, every month, weather alerts, your house's history — is one annual
subscription. Priced like insurance, not like an app: one skipped
service-call upsell pays for it.
A house doesn't ask for much. It asks twelve times a year.
—
The full House Year is an auto-renewing annual subscription ($23.99/year in
the App Store). Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of
purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24
hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your
Apple Account settings. The free plan works without a subscription and does
not expire.
