MA Menubar brings Music Assistant right into your macOS menu bar — full control over your music without opening the MA web UI or launching a separate app.
Click the menu bar icon to open a compact popover showing cover art, playback progress, title and artist, plus all the controls you need: play/pause, skip forward/back, volume, a favorite toggle, and per-player Smart Crossfade. Running multiple players? Switch between them anytime using the built-in picker.
The built-in search finds tracks, albums, playlists and artists across all your providers, filterable by type and source. Add the current track to an existing or new playlist with a single click, or start radio playback based on similar tracks whenever you like.
Every change on your Music Assistant server — whether triggered from this app, the web UI, or another client — shows up live via WebSocket, no polling involved. The app reconnects automatically if the connection drops, with the current status always visible in the popover.
