This update is all about keeping what matters safe while you clean up. • Compression and Live Photo conversion no longer flatten anything special: edited, trimmed, slo-mo, Cinematic and spatial videos are left alone, HDR stays HDR, and hidden items stay hidden. • Before an original is deleted, Review checks that its smaller copy still exists, and warns you if both copies are queued. • Merging contacts now keeps every detail (addresses, birthdays, photos and more), only groups cards that really are the same person, and saves a backup first that you can restore in one tap. • Calendar cleanup stays out of shared and subscribed calendars, keeps the copy with the most detail, and saves a backup first. • The Private Vault keeps Live Photos, edits and RAW files intact, copes with large videos, and its key now moves to a new iPhone with iCloud Keychain. • Files removed after a folder scan go to the Files trash where possible, and folders holding hidden files are never deleted. • Items you mark Keep stay kept, and deleted photos no longer reappear in the Photos hub. • Plus many smaller fixes to counts, wording and reliability.
