The biggest update since launch. Eight releases of work, and everything below is included. A FULL-SIZE GRID • A sheet now holds 1,048,576 rows and 16,384 columns, Excel's size. The old grid was 65,536 by 256 • Cells use a fifth of the memory they did, so million-row files open in a gigabyte instead of five • Whole-column and whole-row references work in formulas: =SUM(A:A), =SUM(1:3) EXCEL FILES • Excel's theme colors, built-in date and time formats, and custom number formats import as Excel shows them • Frozen panes, merged cells, and row and column fills survive the round trip • Imported text renders at its correct point size, and fonts you don't have are marked "Substituted" with the fallback shown • Excel's automatic text color now follows your theme, so imported sheets are readable in dark themes • Apache Parquet files open like a CSV KEYBOARD • Vim mode gained x, y, p, u, / and n for cut, copy, paste, undo, find, and next match • Excel ribbon sequences: Alt, W, V, G toggles gridlines and Alt, H, C, P copies a range as a picture • AutoSum finds numbers above a blank spacer row and totals every column of a selected strip • Select row or column differences with Ctrl+\ APPEARANCE • New app icon • Choose default column width, row height, font, and font size in Preferences • Roomier menus, controls, and sheet tabs, with clearer selections and softer header tints SCRIPTING • Custom functions from functions.lua compute everywhere, and =LUA(code, args) runs a Lua chunk as a cell formula • Lua functions can return tables that spill into the sheet • AI Lua changes get a frozen Before and After review with per-cell diffs before anything is applied RELIABILITY • Closing a window or quitting with unsaved changes always asks first • Recalculation only revisits the cells an edit affected • Sign-in and Ask AI no longer block the interface • Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and dead-key input compose correctly in the cell editor
