The icon now reads simply Lingo, so the name no longer gets cut off on the home screen. From the last update: long sentences no longer push the CHECK button off the bottom of an exercise, and single words — numbers especially — are pronounced in the language you are learning rather than with an English accent.

Fixes a long sentence running off the bottom of an exercise and taking the CHECK button with it, which left the exercise impossible to finish. Long sentences now shrink to fit and every exercise scrolls. Fixes pronunciation of single words — numbers most of all. The request never told the voice which language the word was in, so French un, six and dix were read with an English accent. The language is now named for every short word, and audio saved on your device from before the fix is replaced.

Speaking practice everywhere Open any chapter in the word list and run it hands-free: each word is spoken, then you say it back and it checks as soon as you pause. The check now has Relaxed, Normal and Strict settings, and it is far more forgiving of an accent than before. Quick translate Tap the chat button and say or type something in your own language. You get it back in the language you are learning, spoken aloud, with a repeat button. Nothing to run out of Lives are gone. A word you get wrong simply comes back later in the lesson and first in your next practice round. Also new Share your progress, choose your text colour, and audio downloads are about ten times smaller.
