Jot the Spot: Where I Put It
Voice memory for your things
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
"I put it somewhere safe." Jot the Spot remembers where.
Tap the mic and say where you put something: "spare key, blue bowl, hall." That's it. Months later, ask "where's my spare key?" and get the spot back, with when you jotted it.
No photos to take, no boxes to label, no account to make. Your spots stay on your phone and work offline.
WHY PEOPLE USE IT
• The passport you hid before last year's trip
• Spare keys, chargers, meds, warranties and the TV remote
• Moving house: which box, which room, which loft
• ADHD and busy brains: things vanish the moment they leave your hand
• Helping a parent keep track of glasses, keys and papers
HOW IT WORKS
• Jot by voice, in your own language, or type it
• Ask in your own words: "where did I put the drill?"
• Hey Siri, where's my passport in Jot the Spot (iPhone)
• Spotlight search finds your things from the home screen (iPhone)
• Full history when something moves
• Expiry reminders for things that go off, like contact lenses or medication
• Read-it-out answers when your hands are full
• Widgets for one-tap jotting
FREE AND UNLIMITED
Free for up to 10 things, forever. Jot the Spot Unlimited ($2.99/month or $19.99/year) adds unlimited things, photos of the spot, and one shared household memory for the people you live with. Everything you jotted stays readable if you stop paying.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No ads, no tracking. The mic only listens after you tap. Recordings are transcribed and then deleted, never stored. Export or delete everything from Settings.
Jot the Spot Unlimited is an auto-renewable subscription: $2.99 per month or $19.99 per year, charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it any time in your Apple Account settings.
