Nightdraft no longer crashes when a controller or the weather service sends a temperature that can't be real. Readings still appear exactly as reported, but the "worth running?" and "attic worth flushing?" verdicts now stay quiet rather than judge from a number no thermometer could produce. Find My Controller is more honest about why it found nothing. If your phone has just dropped off Wi-Fi it now says so, instead of asking you to grant a permission you already gave, and a device on your network that answers slowly can no longer leave the search stuck short of finishing. Siri and Shortcuts get their verdict more reliably. If the app is already fetching the outdoor temperature when a shortcut asks, the shortcut now waits for that answer instead of reporting that no verdict is available. The outdoor reading also recovers promptly after the app is closed mid-fetch, and after a clock change on your phone. For VoiceOver on the Reactor themes, the RUNNING lamp says "unknown" rather than "off" before the controller has answered, and every lamp offers a Refresh action, so the panel can be refreshed without pull-to-refresh. At the largest text sizes the shutoff clock no longer wraps and nudges the controls. Coordinates typed with a comma decimal are accepted in Settings, and the controls no longer stay dimmed after switching back to the app mid-request.

The Add Time button no longer guesses. Your controller doesn't publish how much time that button adds, so Nightdraft works it out by watching what happens — and it used to put a number on the button after a single press, which could be a minute out. It now stays on the plain "Add Time" until it has seen enough to be sure, and only then tells you the amount. Asking Siri to add time to a fan that isn't running now tells you the fan is stopped, instead of sending a command with no defined effect. Every panel already greyed that button out; the voice path now agrees with it. On the Reactor themes, a temperature with no sensor reads as a plain dash instead of a dash with a degree sign attached. Airflow, power and the temperatures animate between readings again, the way the speed number always has. And while sample data is switched on, the Settings screen now says so above the controller details, so a demo reading can't be mistaken for your fan's. Nightdraft also no longer follows a redirect away from the address you entered — a reply can only come from the controller you pointed it at — and cancelling a network search before starting another no longer disturbs the second one.

Nightdraft can now find your fan controller for you. Tap Find My Controller in Settings and it sweeps your Wi-Fi network for anything that answers like a controller, then shows you the model and software version so you can tell two apart before you adopt one. You can still type an address by hand; you just don't have to go looking for it first. Setting up for the first time is clearer. A fresh install no longer starts on a panel full of dashes pointed at an address that was never yours — it says plainly that no controller is set up yet, and offers you the two ways forward: find it on your network, or look around with sample data. iOS asks for local-network permission up front, at the point it makes sense, instead of after a search has already silently failed.

Nightdraft can now be driven by Siri and Shortcuts. Stop the fan, speed it up, slow it down, or add time by voice — or ask what it's doing and whether it's a good time to run it. The questions return values Shortcuts can branch on, so an automation can check "is it cooler outside?" before starting the fan. None of it needs the app open, and every phrase ends "with Nightdraft." Three new panel themes, in Settings: Atomic, warm bone and oxide for a bright room; Reactor, a 1950s instrument face with nixie-tube readouts and an annunciator lamp grid; and Reactor Night, the same instrument in graphite and green for a dark one. Nightdraft, Ember, and Daylight are unchanged.

VoiceOver now speaks the result of every control. Slower, Stop, Faster and Add Time each announce what the fan actually did, spoken when the controller's reply arrives rather than when you press — so there's no need to navigate back to the readouts to find out whether a press worked. Failures are announced too, instead of leaving silence. Reduce Motion is now honoured. With the setting on, the link indicator stops pulsing and the speed, metric and temperature readouts change without the spring and crossfade. The numbers still update; they just don't animate.

• The panel now supports Dynamic Type, so the readouts follow your preferred text size, and VoiceOver reads each channel as a single labelled item rather than a run of loose numbers. • When the run timer reaches zero, the app updates immediately instead of waiting for the next refresh, so the fan's real state is never a half-minute behind the clock on screen. • Outdoor weather readings recover more quickly after a dropped connection. • Demo mode's timer now counts down and stops the fan at zero, matching real hardware. • A new launch screen.
