Open the .xcstrings file your Xcode project ships, fix stale, missing and broken strings by hand or with your own model, and export Android XML, Flutter ARB or CSV. Your Xcode project already ships a Localizable.xcstrings file. OhmsPolyglot opens that String Catalog, shows what is missing, stale or broken in it, lets you fix it by hand, and writes it back without disturbing the parts you did not touch. Checking a catalog needs no key and no network. The Issues list gathers: • languages with no text for a key (the Languages sheet counts them per language); • strings Xcode marked New or Needs Review, including translations flagged because you edited their source text here; • plural variations missing a form the language needs, such as Russian "few" and "many", or carrying one it never uses; • translations whose %@, %lld, %1$@ or {name} placeholders differ from the source in count, or read their arguments in a different order (numbering them to reorder, as in %2$lld … %1$@, is accepted); • keys Xcode no longer finds in your code, and keys that share the same source text. Choose a finding to jump to its key. Click any value to correct it. Add manual keys, rename or remove them, clear out stale keys in one step, and save with Command-S. Each key shows its comment, whether Xcode extracted it or it was added by hand, and a status for every language. Plural forms and substitutions are shown read-only and written back untouched, along with any catalog metadata the app does not edit. If Xcode rewrites the file while it is open, Save stops and asks before replacing Xcode's changes. Languages come from the file itself. Add any language code for a locale the catalog does not have yet; each catalog remembers its own choice. Translate Missing is optional. It fills only empty entries, tells you how many it will send before it starts, and uses a model you connect: an API key you already pay for, or a model server running on this Mac, with any model name you choose. A result is written only if its placeholders match the source and every glossary name from Settings that the source uses comes back verbatim; otherwise the app asks once more, then leaves the entry empty and lists it. Keys marked Don't Translate, stale keys, and plural or substitution entries are skipped. Export any language as Android strings.xml, with %@ and %lld converted to %s and %d, positions added where several arguments appear, valid resource names and plural resources; as a Flutter ARB file with Dart-safe keys and declared placeholders; or as a CSV with every language side by side for a human reviewer. Untranslated keys are left out of per-language files so the platform falls back to its default strings. Still on Localizable.strings and .stringsdict? Import them from their .lproj folders. Text already in the catalog is never overwritten. Checking, editing, importing and exporting never touch the network. Translate sends each entry's key, source text and comment, plus your glossary and the target language, over HTTPS to the endpoint you set in Settings, or over loopback to a server on this Mac. Silo Systems runs no server and receives none of it, and the app has no account or analytics. Runs on macOS 14 and later; translation needs an endpoint you configure.

  • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

Translate Missing now sends only the request you approved, to the provider named in the prompt. If you switch providers before confirming, or the catalog, its languages or the glossary change before the request goes out, nothing is sent; choose Translate Missing again to review the new request. Answering an older confirmation no longer starts or cancels a newer translation, and a late reply from a cancelled or replaced translation is never written into your catalog.
