Ohms Lens
Screenshot to design tokens

Turn a screenshot's colors into Swift and CSS tokens with a WCAG contrast check, on this Mac and with no API key. Code output uses a vision model you connect.
Point Ohms Lens at a screen or an image and get its design tokens back: the dominant colors, each named by role (background, surface, text, accent), written out as a Swift Color extension and a CSS :root block. Each hex value is a color that occurs in the pixels, not an average of nearby shades. An sRGB image file comes back unchanged; a capture, or a screenshot file from a wide-color display, is converted to sRGB first and can land a step off, a few steps in some very saturated colors.
Switch to Contrast Audit and every pair of extracted colors gets a WCAG 2.2 ratio with an AA and AAA verdict, so you can see which text-on-background pairs fail before they ship. It rates the palette, not the layout, and the report says so. Visual Table rebuilds the rows of a table in a screenshot as comma-separated values, reading text in the languages you use on your Mac.
Shift-Command-K captures your main display and leaves Ohms Lens's own windows out of the picture. Command-O opens an image file instead, and Shift-Command-S runs the built-in sample card with no file and no Screen Recording permission. Each result appears in the Inspector, lands on the clipboard, is kept in a local history of your last 40 runs, and can be saved as a file. Command-period cancels a run. Ohms Lens also sits in the menu bar for quick captures.
Tokens, contrast and tables are worked out on this Mac, whichever provider you have set up, and never need a key.
Code from a screenshot is optional. Connect a vision model you already use, either with your own API key or through a model server running locally on this Mac at 127.0.0.1:11434, and Ohms Lens turns a UI screenshot into a SwiftUI view, a React component styled with Tailwind, a Flutter widget or a single HTML file. It can also redraw a diagram as Mermaid or an equation as LaTeX, and take a one-line instruction to steer the result. Before the first image goes to a cloud provider, Ohms Lens asks you to allow that provider by name; that image and its prompt then travel over HTTPS to it alone. Keys stay in the macOS Keychain, and a local pass masks API keys and tokens in the text a model sends back.
Silo Systems has no server that sees your images, no account to create and no telemetry. Screen Recording is requested only when you choose Capture Screen; decline it and file import and the sample card still work. Ohms Lens runs on macOS 14 or later.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Design tokens, contrast checks and tables now always run on this Mac, even with a cloud key saved. Tokens use colors that are actually in your image instead of rounded averages, which fixes contrast verdicts close to the AA line, and screen captures are taken in sRGB, the space hex values are written in. Code presets ask before anything is sent to a cloud provider, and when one fails you are offered Design Tokens instead of the same error again. Screen capture leaves Ohms Lens's own windows out. Key masking no longer changes class names in generated code and tells you when it masks something. Tables are read in your Mac's languages, preset names match what they produce, and the Copy Text and Visual Bug & Error Explainer presets have been removed.
