Every year thousands of us gather for Jalsa Salana, the annual convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. This app is here to help you find your way through the three days, and it keeps working when the signal at the venue does not.
• Full English and Urdu support, and you can switch between them at any point.
• Dark and light mode support.
• Open it and you will see what is on right now and what is coming next. In the weeks before, it counts down to the first day.
• The full programme for every day, from Tahajjud in the small hours through to the last session of the evening.
• Directions to the Jalsa Gah, the parking maps, and the drop-off point for passengers before you go and park. Tap an address and it opens in your maps app.
• Transport and car hire if you are not driving, and nearby hotels and family accommodation if you are staying over.
• Announcements from the Jalsa team when something changes on the day, and something always does. They stay in the app so you can check later what was actually said.
• The sessions streaming live, if you cannot be there this year.
• The people to call when you need them: the Jalsa team, the medical facility, lost and found and the book stall.
• What Jalsa Salana is, why the Promised Messiah began it, and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community today.
Reception on site can be unreliable with thousands of people at one place, so the programme, the maps, the directions and the phone numbers are all saved to your phone and open instantly whether or not you have a connection.
There is nothing to sign up for and no personal details to hand over. Everyone is welcome at Jalsa Salana, whether you have been coming for years or this is your first.
