Stop reading long AI output in a cramped chat pane. Open a file and it is already rendered. Readout is a Markdown app built for reading. Most Markdown apps are editors. They open to raw syntax and make you toggle a preview to actually read. Readout is the other way around. Open a file and you get a clean, rendered page. Press ⌘E only when you need to change something. ■ Opens in reading mode Headings, lists, quotes, tables, and code blocks come out formatted. No filtering syntax with your eyes. ■ An outline for long documents The sidebar shows the document's heading structure. Click to jump. Works in both reading and editing mode. ■ Syntax highlighting in code blocks JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Rust, Go, Swift, JSON, YAML, HTML, CSS, SQL, and shell. ■ Edit when you need to ⌘E turns it into a full Markdown editor with syntax highlighting, undo, and find and replace. ■ Tuned to your eyes (Pro) Adjust theme, typeface, text size, line height, paragraph spacing, letter spacing, and content width. The longer you read, the more it matters. ■ Private by design Documents stay on your device. No account, nothing sent to a server, no tracking. HTML inside a document is displayed as text, never executed. Readout Pro Customization is available by subscription, with a 1-week free trial, billed monthly or yearly. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
