BigSplice is the spreadsheet for gigabyte-sized files. Where other apps choke on a 500 MB export, BigSplice opens multi-gigabyte CSV, Excel and JSON files in seconds — tens of millions of rows — and runs entirely on your iPhone, iPad and Mac. Sort and filter millions of rows, build pivot tables, write formulas, chart the results, and ask questions about your data in plain English. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
SERVER LOGS, FINALLY READABLE
Drop in a folder of IIS, nginx or Apache logs — zipped or not — and BigSplice turns them into one sheet you can actually work with:
• Pivot a month of traffic in seconds: requests by status code (how many 500s? which URLs threw 404s?), by hour, by client IP, by user agent
• Search every file at once: an email address, a session id, an IP — BigSplice also matches the URL-encoded and case variants, so "@outlook.com" finds "%40outlook.com" inside query strings
• Ask in plain English: "which endpoints were slowest yesterday?", "how many 500 errors per hour this week?", "top 10 IPs hitting /login" — answered from your data, on your device
• Formats: IIS/W3C (#Fields), nginx & Apache access logs, syslog, plain text logs; .log, .gz, .zip. A folder becomes one sheet with a file column, and new files show up when you reopen it

ASK YOUR DATA
• Ask a question — "which region sold the most last quarter?" — and get an answer worked out from your actual data.
• Runs with Apple Intelligence on your device, a large model you download to your device, or a model server you run yourself. Every query is shown to you and needs your approval before it runs.
• Ask it to build a pivot or summary table and it appears as a new sheet.
• Put related sheets in a folder and ask across all of them at once: "which file has the most 500s?", "revenue per month across these three files".
• New here? Load a sample dataset — server logs, city records or taxi trips — in one tap.
CHARTS IN ONE TAP
• Any pivot becomes a bar, line or area chart — one tap, no setup. Count the 500s by hour and see the spike.
• Every Ask answer that comes back as a table gets a chart button: "chart the requests per day" and it is drawn from your real data.
• Dates on the axis are recognised automatically; every numeric column becomes a series.
IMPORT FROM ANYWHERE
• Files app, iCloud Drive, web links, ZIP archives.
• Your own Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage or Azure buckets — browse folders, open files directly. Credentials stay in your device's Keychain.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no sign-in, no analytics. Your files never leave your device unless you choose to share them.
• Optionally share sheets with Claude on your Mac or another device over Wi‑Fi or Tailscale, protected by a pairing code.

The free version opens files up to 150 MB with full sort, filter, pivot, formulas and export. Pro adds files up to 1 GB, Ask your data, cloud storage imports, network sharing and the large on-device model — as a yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial, or a one-time lifetime purchase.
