Every story becomes a little film in a child's-sketchbook style, and a storybook you can read together — tap any page to hear the storyteller's own voice tell that bit.

Retold includes five personal stories at no charge. Creating more than five stories requires a separate in-app purchase of Retold Plus, an optional auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription. Retold Plus unlocks unlimited new stories. Existing stories remain available to watch, read and share if you cancel.

If a name came out wrong, tap "something not right?" on a story and put it right — the title, who told it, when it happened, or any word in it. Your recording is never touched. It stays exactly as it was told.

• Fixed a problem that could stop stories opening on your shelf
• If a recording is very short, Retold now asks whether there's more you'd like to tell
