Setting the app up is no longer a guessing game. A GUIDED FIRST LAUNCH My Whisper has no Dock icon and no window, so the first launch used to show nothing at all — while an API key, microphone access and a keyboard shortcut were all still needed before a single word could be dictated. A short walkthrough now runs the first time you open the app and takes you through each one, starting with the key. You can skip any step you do not need. SETUP GUIDE, ALWAYS REACHABLE The walkthrough is a permanent row in the sidebar rather than a window you see once and lose. If something needed is still missing, the sidebar says so and takes you straight to the step that fixes it — and it disappears once you are set up. DARK MODE AND TEN THEMES A full dark appearance that follows the system, plus ten themes. Every colour is now derived from the theme, so contrast holds up on all of them. SOUND WHEN IT IS LISTENING Short system sounds mark the start and end of a dictation, so you know it is recording without looking at the screen. FIXES • The window keeps its content intact when resized or minimised, and now has a sensible minimum size. • Consistent backgrounds, and real dividers between the top bar, sidebar and content. • Menus and dropdowns are visible instead of something you had to guess at. • The app icon no longer has a stray plate behind it. • Settings opens within the window, saves as you type, and closes when you click outside. The app is now called My Whisper, spelled as two words.
