PodsControl puts your Mac's audio in one place, in the menu bar.
SHARE AUDIO ACROSS DEVICES
Play through two or more Bluetooth devices at the same time. Connect a pair of AirPods and a speaker, or two sets of headphones, and both hear the same thing. Each device keeps its own volume, so nobody has to settle for a level that suits the other.
A VOLUME FOR EVERY APP
Turn the music down without touching the video call. Every app currently playing audio gets its own slider, and the list keeps itself current as you open and close things.
BUILT FOR THE MENU BAR
No Dock icon, no window in the way. Click once and everything is there: master volume, apps, devices.
DETAILS THAT MATTER
Battery level and sample rate for every connected device. Automatic reconnection if a device drops out mid-session, with a timeout you choose. Launch at login. Seven languages.
PERMISSIONS
Bluetooth is used to read battery levels from your devices.
Per-app volumes need the Screen & System Audio Recording permission. macOS files audio capture under screen recording, which is why it is asked for. PodsControl does not record, save, or transmit anything: the audio passes through only so a volume can be applied to it, and nothing is written anywhere.
If you only want to share audio between devices, that permission is never requested.
