Сыйлы дин китаб
Истории из Священного Писания
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
The "Сыйлы дин китаб" offline Bible app is designed for Karachay speakers and anyone interested in the language. Suitable for both adults and children, it works equally well for an initial introduction to the Scriptures or for daily Bible reading.
This translation of the Books of Daniel and Jonah into Karachay was crafted by biblical studies and linguistics experts from the Institute for Bible Translation. The app also includes Russian and English translations, which can be viewed side-by-side or verse-by-verse by adjusting your settings under Language and Layout.
Tapping any text snippet opens a quick-action menu to:
- Highlight verses in different colors, save bookmarks, and write notes.
- Create shareable photo quotes using built-in app backgrounds or your own photos. Share them directly to social media right from the app.
- Selecting an individual word instantly launches a word search.
Using the side menu, you can:
- View your reading history.
- Share the app link with friends and family.
- Adjust the font size and customize the app's overall color theme under Text Appearance.
Streaming audio requires an internet connection. To listen offline, select Download Audio Files in the settings menu; you'll only need internet once to save the files to your device. As the audio plays, the screen automatically scrolls to follow along. You can also turn on phrase highlighting in the settings—a feature especially useful for the Book of Jonah, where the written text matches the audio narration word-for-word.
