Nouriva reads the label, or estimates what is on your plate, and tells you whether it fits you. Every other scanner gives everyone the same score. Nouriva does not. You build a profile first - your conditions, allergies, intolerances, medicines and goal - and every product you scan is read against it. HOW IT WORKS - Scan the barcode, photograph the label, or photograph your plate with Portion - Nouriva judges five things: safety, medical fit, nutrition, goal fit and confidence - You see not only the verdict, but why WHAT COUNTS - Conditions: type 1 and type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, kidney and liver disease, gout, coeliac disease, irritable bowel, inflammatory bowel disease, thyroid, obesity - Allergies: peanut, tree nuts, milk, egg, gluten, soy, sesame, fish, crustaceans, molluscs, celery, mustard, lupin, sulphites - Intolerances: lactose, fructose, histamine, FODMAPs, caffeine, sugar alcohols - Medicines: food that interacts is flagged - Preferences: vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, Mediterranean, low carb, keto, halal, kosher NEW: PORTION SCANNING Eating out or cooking at home? There is no label. Photograph your plate and Nouriva estimates what each part is and how many grams there are. If a name is wrong, change it: turn "meat" into "minced beef". If Nouriva cannot judge a weight, it says so and you fill in roughly how much it was. The meal then counts towards your day, measured against your profile. The photo is sent to OpenAI for the estimate and is not stored; the app asks for your permission first. ALLERGIES COME FIRST An allergy is a safety layer, not a preference. It outranks every nutritional consideration in the result. For a meal without a label, Nouriva never gives someone with an allergy a green light. IT ASKS HOW MUCH When a pack gives figures per 100 g and says nothing about a portion, Nouriva asks how much you had instead of inventing a number. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS Your health profile lives on your device. Nothing is sold, nothing goes to advertisers, and deleting all of it takes one tap. A SOURCE ON EVERY LINE Every verdict cites where it came from: WHO, EFSA, ICD-11 or the medicine's own leaflet. A language model writes the explanation and, with Portion, estimates what is on your plate; it never decides the verdict and it cannot remove a warning.
