Sakina blocks the apps that eat your day — TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, games — the moment a prayer window opens. They stay shut until you've prayed. There's no timer to wait out and no "snooze": the only way through is the prayer itself.
WHEN SALAH ENTERS, THE SCROLL STOPS
A few minutes after the adhan — long enough that a shield never lands on top of a call — your chosen apps lock. You choose the grace period, from none at all up to 15 minutes. Open one and you get a quiet screen telling you which prayer is in and how long is left in its window. Pray, mark it, and everything opens.
AN HONEST LOCK SCREEN
Three choices, and none of them ask you to lie:
• I've prayed — unlocks everything.
• Not yet — closes the app. The lock stays, nothing is recorded. An honest way to back out.
• I'm excused — for ḥayḍ and nifās. Streaks protected, no pressure to unlock by pretending.
Marking stays available for the whole window, so the choice is never "lie now or lose your phone." Pray in the first half and it's logged on time; pray in the tail and it's logged late. Late is still prayed — it keeps your streaks and only costs your on-time rate. The app tells you which one you're about to log before you tap.
TWO STREAKS THAT FORGIVE THE RIGHT THINGS
Missing one prayer should cost you that day, not everything you've built.
• Daily streak — days you prayed something. Only a day with nothing at all resets it.
• Complete days — days you made all five, on time or late. One miss ends this one.
Excused days are transparent to both: they never add and never break.
PRAYER TIMES YOU CAN TRUST
Calculation methods (Muslim World League, ISNA, Umm al-Qura, Egyptian, Karachi, Moonsighting), Asr madhab (Hanafi or Standard), and high-latitude rules — all yours to set. Adhan notifications with an optional heads-up before each prayer. Qibla compass built in.
THE QUR'AN, A LITTLE AT A TIME (OPTIONAL)
The whole mushaf ships inside the app — no download, no account. Set a daily goal and it's split into five short portions, one offered after each prayer. Arabic Uthmani text with an English translation toggle. Miss a portion and it waits for you; nothing is lost. It all builds toward a khatm.
The Qur'an companion is entirely optional. The app works fully with it switched off.

Everything above works without paying: the blocking, the streaks, the prayer times, the Qibla and the whole Qur'an. Sakina Pro supports development and takes nothing away if you decline it.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Excused days are stored on your device only — never synced, never in analytics. Sakina uses Apple's Screen Time framework, which means app blocking happens on-device; we never see which apps you use.
Islam already gives you five reasons a day to put the phone down, computed to the minute. Sakina just makes them stick.
