HoopsProtocol: Basketball
Landing, strength & shooting
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
No sign-in, no roster, no setup. Open it courtside and the warm-up is right there, with printable handouts you can text to a parent.
Count your makes. HoopsProtocol keeps score of the one drill every player already does — form shooting, alone at a rim — and wraps it in the warm-up, landing and strength work that guards against basketball's worst injuries: the ACL, the rolled ankle, jumper's knee, gone on a rebound, a closeout, a cold first jump. Built with Cape Concierge PT, a Cape Cod physical-therapy practice.
THE PRACTICE BOARD
Home is a coach's half-court diagram: each section anchored to the spot where its work happens — Pregame at the center circle, Ball Work in the paint, The Weight Room, Bounce for landing, Postgame for recovery and The Scorer's Table for handouts. Over 60 drills across six sections, a structure a coach can actually run rather than a video library to scroll. The shooting and ball-handling sections are filmed rep by rep.
FORM SHOOTING THAT KEEPS SCORE
Nine timed stations, Mikans to free throws, that run themselves — with two thumb-sized make and miss buttons, a shot chart drawn on the floor your session happened on, and a short history of past sessions. All of it on your phone; no account anywhere.
LANDING IS A SKILL
The Bounce section teaches it directly — snap downs, drops to stick, single-leg landings — because the mechanics that keep a knee healthy are trainable, and almost nobody trains them.
NO ACCOUNT, NO SIGN-UP SHEET
No sign-in, no password, no roster. Install it and every section is already open, with free drills in each one — nothing to configure before a session that tipped off ten minutes ago.
HOOPSPROTOCOL PRO
Pro unlocks the rest of the library: the vertical plyometric block and the filmed shooting and ball-handling work. Choose a monthly or an annual plan, or buy it once and keep it — every way in opens the same drills. Both plans start with a week-long free trial for new subscribers, renew automatically at the price shown until cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and can be managed or cancelled in your Apple Account settings or from the app's Settings; the one-time purchase never renews. Restore any of them on your other devices with the same Apple Account. What sits in the open tier is a coaching decision and may be adjusted as the programme develops.

CUES YOU CAN READ IN A LOUD GYM
Every drill lists what to actually say — "land soft, land stacked", "knees over toes, chest up". Coaching a movement you haven't run before shouldn't depend on a video loading in a gym with no signal.
COURTSIDE CALCULATORS
Sweat rate from a weigh-in and a weigh-out. A single-leg hop screen with the left/right difference worked out for you. Acute-to-chronic workload, so a spike in a training week is visible before it costs you a player. Heat-index guidance for summer runs and gyms with no AC. Screening tools for a coach, not a diagnosis — the app says so where you use them, and anything that hurts goes to a clinician.
HANDOUTS FOR PARENTS AND PLAYERS
Clean one-pagers you can text to a parent or print for the locker room. No app required on their end.
READABLE COURTSIDE, QUIET ABOUT YOU
Type scales with the accessibility text size you already set, the whole app is labelled for VoiceOver, and it follows your light or dark preference — tested with an accessibility harness, not asserted. And there is nothing to track: no account, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking SDKs, no health records — the courtside calculators work out a number on your device and keep nothing. The one thing the app can send is the optional "ask CCPT to reach out" form in Settings — an email you type, sent only when you tap the button. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone else, ever.
The programme — the drills, the progression, the coaching — is built with Cape Concierge PT. The app is published and supported by Tatzel Labs LLC. Questions? Email support@tatzel-labs.com.
Ratings & Reviews

HoopsProtocol Pro now comes three ways: a monthly plan, an annual plan, or a single purchase you keep. The two plans renew until you cancel and can be managed or cancelled from Settings inside the app or from your Apple Account. Every way in opens the same drills.
Settings also gains the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy links, and a subscriber gets Apple's manage-subscriptions sheet right there.
