Pull is a focus timer that closes your distracting apps until the session ends, and learns how long you can actually concentrate so you stop guessing at twenty-five minutes. It shows you that session as an espresso shot. Set your dose — the length you believe you can concentrate for — and pull. The shot renders live, and nothing on the screen is decorative. The stream thins and pales as the puck gives up. Crema builds on the surface and holds. Run far past your dose and the stream blondes to straw, because that is what over-extraction looks like. Stop short and it is sour. Pick up your phone and the puck channels. The stream splits, the crema tears, and the tear stays for the rest of the shot and afterwards, on your wall. If you have used a pomodoro timer, this is the same shape of thing with one difference that matters: the length is yours rather than a fixed twenty-five.
