Clipboard Server — Menu-bar clipboard history with optional phone sync. CopyServer lives in the macOS menu bar and keeps a searchable history of what you copy: text, links, images, files, rich text, colors, and more. Click an item to copy it back, or paste it into the frontmost app. There is no account and no analytics. History is stored on your Mac. Bluetooth and a local LAN page are optional, so you can pull items onto your phone when you want. KEY FEATURES • Menu-bar history Copy in any app and the item appears under Recent. Pause capture anytime. Concealed and transient pasteboard types used by password managers are skipped. Ignore specific apps by bundle ID. • Search, favorites, and snippets Search recent items, star keepers, and save reusable snippets. Open a larger Clipboard History window when you need more room. • Transform and OCR Copy as plain text, trim, change case, format JSON, encode or decode URL and Base64, or strip tracking parameters from URLs. Images can be OCR’d on your Mac (Chinese and English). • Paste where you are ⌘⇧V pastes the latest item into the frontmost app. Build a paste queue and step through it with ⌘⇧⌥V. Auto-paste uses Accessibility only to send ⌘V. • Phone and LAN access Turn on Bluetooth to advertise as “CopyServer” for the companion phone app. Turn on the LAN service to open a local web page (default port 8765) from a browser on the same network. Set an optional access token. Share a short item as a QR code. • MCP for AI tools A setup guide copies a prompt so Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools can attach to the local clipboard HTTP API. • Retention and security Set a history limit, auto-delete old non-favorites after 7/30/90 days, export JSON, and optionally encrypt the history file with AES-256-GCM (key in Keychain). History, snippets, and preferences stay in Application Support on your Mac. When Bluetooth or LAN is enabled, clipboard items you already stored can be read by a device you connect on Bluetooth or on your local network. You can disable both services and set a LAN token. On-device OCR does not leave your Mac. Opening a copied http(s) link may use your default browser. Download CopyServer and keep your clipboard history on your Mac.
