Faster turns any video into a faster one. Drop a clip in, choose how much faster, pick the look you want, and export. No timeline to learn, no project files.
Speed up from 2x all the way to 100x. A ten-minute screen recording becomes a one-minute walkthrough. An hour of sky becomes a clip under a minute. A long drive, a build in progress, a workout, a cooking session: all of it fits in a short video that people actually watch.
CHOOSE THE LOOK
• Smooth: fluid motion at up to 30 frames per second, ideal for tutorials and screen recordings
• Timelapse: the classic 15 fps timelapse texture, with a slight stutter that reads as time passing
• Stop-motion: 8 fps for a pronounced frame-by-frame feel, like an animated flipbook
• Tune the Timelapse (12 to 24 fps) and Stop-motion (6 to 12 fps) looks in Settings
SPEED, TRIM, EXPORT
• Speed presets: 2x, 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x and 100x (long clips unlock the top speeds)
• Trim with native handles before you export, so only the part you want gets sped up
• Export as MP4 with HEVC for the sharpest result at sensible sizes, H.264 for maximum compatibility, or match the source quality
• Export as GIF for chats, docs and social posts (up to 20 fps, 480 px long edge, silent)
• Audio stays in sync and keeps its natural pitch up to 4x. Above 4x, Faster mutes it for you. You can also choose silent at any speed
• Optional height limit for lighter files. Faster never upscales your video
• Live preview with Picture in Picture, frame-by-frame stepping and a one-click frame grab (PNG)
• Share sheet when the export is done, or reveal the file in Finder
• Remembers your last look, quality and loop settings

PRIVACY
Faster runs entirely on your Mac. Your videos never leave your device. There is no account, no analytics and no tracking. The only network request the app ever makes is when you open the Other Apps list in Settings.
REQUIREMENTS
Requires macOS 14 or later. Works with the video formats your Mac already plays, including MOV, MP4 and M4V, from iPhone recordings to screen captures and camera footage.
