Somni is a voice-first dream journal with personal AI readings and one-of-a-kind illustrated covers. Record before the dream fades. Somni finds its symbols, connects them with earlier nights, and gives the dream a visual identity of its own.
YOUR DREAM, AS A COVER
As soon as you save, Somni starts creating an illustrated cover on supported iPhones. It uses Apple's on-device image technology, so your private dream does not become an image prompt on somebody else's server.
While the image develops, an animated mesh gives the dream its own color and symbol. That cover remains if image generation is unavailable.
RECORD BEFORE IT FADES
Open Somni, hold one button, and say whatever you remember—even fragments. Your iPhone transcribes as you speak. No forms and no bright white screen while you're half asleep.
Too tired to talk? Type instead. Remember nothing? Log the night in one tap and keep the habit honest.
A READING THAT REMEMBERS YOU
Somni notices the images that return: the water, the locked door, the house you grew up in. New readings can draw on the bounded history of your journal, so “the water is back” actually means something.
Choose a grounded psychological voice or the traditional folk dream-book register. Every reading includes a concise essence, emotional tone, meaningful symbols, connections, and one question worth sitting with.
MAKE THE MEANING YOUR OWN
Answer that closing question in a private reflection that stays attached to the dream—even if you ask for a new reading later. Somni never sends your reflections back to a model.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
On a supported Apple Intelligence iPhone, readings can run entirely on device. Your journal syncs through your private iCloud, with no Somni account, no ads, and no tracking. Analytics is optional and off until you enable it.
You can export the complete journal as Markdown and JSON at any time, for free.
An optional journal lock uses Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. A protected local recovery copy can provide an emergency JSON export if the journal database cannot open.

Premium adds unlimited hosted readings from a larger model and the all-time dream map. Plans and renewal terms are shown before purchase.
On-device reading requires Apple Intelligence. On-device illustrated covers require Apple's supported image-generation capability. Core journaling works on any iPhone running iOS 18.
