- A redesigned photo view: swipe up or down to show or hide the details, and tap for full screen. Choose in Settings what the details show. - Photo details at a glance: camera and lens, megapixels, a histogram, and ISO, focal length, exposure compensation, aperture and shutter speed in one row. Videos also show codec, HDR, frame rate and bit rate. - New video controls: double-tap the left or right side to skip back or ahead, and hold to play at 2×. - Save any frame of a Live Photo to Photos, just like a video's. - More formats: camera HEIF (.HIF), AVIF, TIFF, and older RAW from Canon, Sony, Minolta, Hasselblad, Leica, Epson and Kodak. - The map now comes from Apple Maps, and shows where videos were recorded, too. - Layouts made for iPad and for iPhone held sideways. - Locations is now in the side menu too. Also: photos and Live Photos open more smoothly, and many fixes.

- Pick the best photos: similar shots are grouped and the best one is marked. Keep the ones you like, and move or delete the rest. - Video transcripts (iOS 26 or later): read what is said in a video, tap a line to play from there, and search the text. - Copy a camera card to another drive, NAS or cloud location. Every copy is checked. - Free up space: remove photos from your device once they are backed up. - Videos: change the speed, step frame by frame, and save a frame as a photo. - Backup: check that your copies are still there. - More camera RAW and video formats. - Deleting on an external drive now frees its space.
