New: Sea State card — see how the sea looks off Amble right now: waves, swell, period and water temperature, refreshed every half hour. Conditions are colour-coded from calm greens through to storm reds, and if the swell passes 2.5 m a clear "Rough Sea" warning appears so you know before you set out.
New: High & Low Tide card — today's remaining tide turns at a glance, with times and heights. It quietly moves forward as each tide passes, so it's always current.
Live tide countdown — the Sea State card now counts down to the next turn minute by minute. High water or low, you'll know exactly how long you've got before the beach shrinks.

A brand-new What's On feed lists everything coming up: Sunday markets, the Christmas lights switch-on, the festive market, and the Puffin Festival. Grouped day by day with times and locations, and updated live.

Turn on tide alerts and we'll quietly remind you 15, 30 or 60 minutes before every high and low water — so you'll never miss the moment the beach widens or the harbour fills.
