Meet Storybook Cast, a new illustration style for your travel books. It keeps the places and people in your photos recognizable, then gives them expressive ink lines, playful proportions, and a little storybook mischief. When a scene has no people or animals, a small imagined traveler joins the view.

Plan your printed book page by page. The layout preview now opens on two-page spreads, so you can see exactly which pages will face each other once the book is bound, with a strip of every opening and a view of the whole book at once. Tap any page to edit it in place: rewrite headings and captions, choose a layout for each illustration page, swap which side a photo and its illustration sit on, reframe each image separately, add a line beneath the title, place Field Notes pages where you want them, and arrange entries in your own order. The preview redraws as you go. New books are also typeset on a single grid: photos and illustrations line up across every spread, illustrations print onto the book's own paper, and pages carry page numbers and running feet. Field Book also adapts to more iPhone sizes and orientations.

Field Book Pro and page packs help you keep pressing memories. This update improves the page options screen and makes it clearer when an option is temporarily unavailable from the App Store.

Meet Rough Grin, a new style in Ink & Line. Turn expressive faces and candid moments into scratchy crayon drawings with crooked contours and a little absurdity. Your original photos stay intact, and captions remain editable. Explore all 27 styles when you start a new book.
