Linger stays on your Lock Screen longer. STAYS PINNED LONGER Opening Linger now renews every card on your Lock Screen: a fresh eight hours, with a second card still queued behind it for eight more. Before, a card's clock ran from the moment you wrote it, however often you came back. REFRESH FROM SHORTCUTS A new Refresh Lock Screen action for the Shortcuts app. Put it in an automation — every eight hours, say, or whenever your phone goes on charge — and your cards renew with Linger closed. Settings explains it under Keep it pinned. You can also just say "Refresh Linger" to Siri. SIRI PINS IT RIGHT AWAY Say "Add to Linger" and the reminder is on your Lock Screen at once, rather than the next time you open the app. FIXED Renewing a card could occasionally tick its reminder off as if you'd swiped it away. It no longer does.

Linger now sorts itself. CATEGORIES Every reminder can be sorted under a category. Six come ready — Home, Work, Health, Money, Errands and Family — and you can make your own from the tag button on any card. Hold a category to delete it. AUTOMATICALLY SORTED As you type, Linger picks the category for you. With Apple Intelligence turned on, it reads the whole reminder to choose; either way, nothing leaves your phone. Tap the tag to change it, and your choice stays. Reminders you add through Siri are sorted too. TAP TO FILTER Once a category is in use, a row of them appears under the title, each with a count. Tap one to see just what's in it, and tap it again to show everything. Your Lock Screen cards aren't affected.

Small bug fixes that surfaced during onboarding and reminder creation occasionally.

Linger in your language Linger now speaks Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. Pick your language from the flag on the first screen or in Settings, and the app switches right away, including your Lock Screen cards and widgets. Siri understands the phrases in your language too. Also in this update • A tip in the empty list shows the Siri phrase, so it's there when you need it. • Settings has an Ask Siri section with the phrase and a link to Linger's shortcuts.

Ask Siri Say "Create a Linger" or "Add to Linger", tell Siri what it's about, and it's on your Lock Screen without opening the app. Dates and repeats are read out of what you say, the same as when you type. Habits and reminders Cards now say which they are. A habit keeps its history grid. A one-off shows a countdown instead: how far off it is, the date, and a bar that fills across the final week. Sorted by what's next The list orders itself by due date, soonest first, overdue at the top. Prefer your own order? The sort button beside the title switches to custom, where you hold a card and drag. If you'd already arranged your list, it stays exactly as you left it.

• Private reminders: tap the crossed-eye button and your Lock Screen shows a short summary, like "Pay mortgage", instead of the full details. Linger writes it for you, or Apple Intelligence can shorten it where available. Press and hold a notification to see the whole reminder. • Repeats that start on a specific date now begin on that date. • "On the 18th" is understood as a date without a month.

Linger is now on your Home Screen. TWO NEW WIDGETS • Lingering — what's on you today, each with its own check. Tick something off without opening the app. • Progress — one reminder's full history of days done, the same grid as the app, with its streak. Long-press the widget to choose which reminder. Both come in small, medium and large, and match the app in light and dark. REPEATS WAIT THEIR TURN A reminder set for every Saturday no longer sits on your Lock Screen all week. It appears at the start of Saturday and leaves again once you've done it. Plus smaller fixes, including the "on your Lock Screen" count now matching what's actually there.
