Ember is calm software: one flame, one action. Begin a 5 or 10 minute wind-down, watch the room dim, and let your quiet nights add up. Nothing leaves your phone. Ember is an evening wind-down companion. One flame, one action: begin a wind-down, watch the room dim, let the night settle. No feeds. No badges. No streak-guilt red dots. Just a quiet, dark page and a single decision — wind down for 5 or 10 minutes. THE WIND-DOWN • One tap begins a session — the room dims to near-black over the first minute • An amber ring counts down and a gentle cue paces your breathing • A Live Activity follows the session on your lock screen and Dynamic Island • Interruptions are streak-neutral — the ember only dims, nothing is punished • Completion brightens the ember and settles with a soft three-tap haptic THE EMBER GROWS Your nights accumulate into growth stages — Kindled after 3 nights, Steady after 14, Bright after 30, Beacon after 62. The flame breathes on the home screen, blooms when you tap it, and brightens as your quiet nights add up. YOUR QUIET YEAR • Tonight — the breathing ember, one Begin action, this week's reflection • Path — your nights as a vertical trail of dots, tonight pulsing at the top • Journal — week-grouped history of your sessions and weekly reflections • You — nights, streak and quiet minutes at a glance A WEEKLY REFLECTION, WRITTEN ON DEVICE Each week, Apple Intelligence writes a short reflection from your last seven nights — entirely on your device, with a quieter template fallback if Apple Intelligence isn't available. No AI errors, ever. SIRI AND SHORTCUTS "Hey Siri, begin wind down" opens straight into a session. "How's my ember?" answers with your nights and streak. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Ember collects no data. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking — no network code at all. Your nights live on your phone and nowhere else.
