New: Color-Blind Friendly heat maps and reports, set per client. Speed tests that know your results and show them in a graph. New tags on devices you haven't seen before.
Priv8Scout is a network workbench: the tools to see what's on your network, measure how well it's actually working, and find where the Wi-Fi falls apart.
SEE YOUR NETWORK
• Scan Network — finds devices via Bonjour, TCP sweep and ICMP, then works out what each one actually is
• MAC address and manufacturer for devices on your local network
• New tags — a device that isn't in any of your saved projects is marked New, with a "Show only new" switch
• Devices that sleep through a scan can still be listed, marked "didn't answer"
• Open Connections — a live table of what your Mac is talking to, and the app behind each socket
• Port scanning with Quick, Standard, Thorough and Custom profiles
MEASURE THE WI-FI PROPERLY
• Networks Near You — the access points in range, with true dBm signal, BSSID, channel, band and security
• Channel Analyzer — see who you're sharing a channel with
• Site Survey — walk a floor plan and paint a real coverage heat map
• Color-Blind Friendly mode — red-green safe colors on heat maps, legends and charts. Set it per client, so the reports you hand over use it too
• AP Locator — find the access point you're actually connected to
TEST AND DIAGNOSE
• Speed Test — throughput, latency, gateway ping and bufferbloat, compared with your usual, with drops marked on a chart
• DNS Benchmark — finds the fastest DNS server, and tells you if the one you use has slowed down or changed
• Route Monitor — continuous traceroute that tells you which hop broke, when, and for how long
• LAN Meter — real file speed to a network share, cache-honest
• Disk Benchmark — local and external drive speed
• Ping, Traceroute, DNS Lookup, WHOIS, TLS/SSL Inspector, HTTP Client, Telnet/Raw TCP, Subnet Calculator, MAC Vendor Lookup, Wake on LAN
START IT AND WALK AWAY
Long jobs notify you when they're done. A ping watch tells you the moment a device stops answering and the moment it comes back, so you can start it, apply the firmware update and walk away.
WORKS WITH PRIV8SCOUT FOR IPHONE
The iPhone is the scout; the Mac is the workbench.
Only the iPhone can:
• Scan a room with LiDAR on supported iPhone Pro models — walls, doors and windows captured to scale as editable vector objects
• Build a floor plan in the field from a photo, a PDF or a sketch
Capture the space on the phone, then bring the Mac for the measurement pass. Your projects move between them through your own private iCloud.
Only the Mac can:
• Scan nearby Wi-Fi and read true dBm signal — iOS grants no radio access
• Show the socket table (Open Connections) and send Wake-on-LAN packets
PRIVACY, NOT AS A FEATURE BULLET
We don't collect or use your data, and we don't run servers that could see it. Your data stays on your device. iCloud sync uses your own private database — Apple's encryption, not ours, and not visible to us — and you can turn it off. No analytics, no telemetry, no third-party SDKs that phone home. Apart from iCloud sync, the app reaches out on its own only for a public-IP lookup (to show your WAN address and ISP) and to ask your own DNS server for device names. Everything else happens only when you start it.
Priv8Scout Business, Professional and Enterprise are auto-renewing annual subscriptions ($99.99, $199.00 and $349.00 per year). Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase. Priv8Scout Home is a one-time purchase and does not renew.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
• Color-Blind Friendly mode (Settings → Appearance): red-green safe colors on heat maps and their legends, the problem-area map, before/after comparisons, the channel chart and Open Connections. Works with every appearance.
• Color-blind friendly reports, set per client: choose Report colors in a survey's Export menu, and every heat map and PDF for that client uses the safe colors.
• New tags: a device that isn't in any of your saved projects is marked New, with a "Show only new" switch.
• Devices that sleep through a scan can still be listed, greyed out and marked "didn't answer".
• Speed tests and DNS benchmarks compare themselves with your earlier ones on the same network, and tell you when something changes. The Speed Test page shows your network's speed over time, with drops marked.
• Project reports now mention speed drops, DNS changes and new devices.
• Fixed: the upgrade screen says why prices are missing, with a Try again button.
