Your next hard conversation is coming. Rehearse it out loud first, against a partner who pushes back like a real person, and get feedback on what actually worked.
Some conversations are easy to put off. Honest feedback for a teammate. A no to one more request. A boundary you should have set months ago. Firmly gives you a private place to practice them out loud before you have them for real.
You talk with an AI practice partner who answers in a natural voice and pushes back the way people actually do: defensive, flattering, evasive, hurt. Your partner only comes around when you stay firm and fair. If you cave, you will hear it. If you go too hard, you will hear that too. Get it wrong here, so you get it right there.
HOW A SESSION WORKS
1. Pick a conversation. Eight realistic workplace scenarios, from a slipped deadline to a former peer who skips your sign-off, each with a short briefing and a clear goal.
2. Say it out loud. A voice session runs up to ten minutes. You can interrupt, push back, and change course, just like in a real conversation. Prefer to type? There is a text mode too.
3. Read your feedback. After every session you get a structured report built from your own words: two things that worked, one or two places to push further, and a ready-to-say line for next time. Every point is tied to an exact quote from your transcript, never vague praise.
WHAT MAKES FIRMLY DIFFERENT
- The partner holds the line. No cheap wins. They give in only when you have earned it.
- Feedback quotes you. Every observation points to something you actually said.
- No grades. No scores, no percentages. A simple tone read (too soft, firm, too harsh) and your reps.
- Real conversations count. Track the talks you actually had, not just the practice sessions.
PRACTICE FOR THE MOMENTS THAT MATTER
Give feedback. Say no. Set a boundary. Name a consequence. Four kinds of conversation across eight scenarios, three difficulty levels. Or describe your own: the talk you are actually facing, in two sentences, and rehearse exactly that.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your practice partners are AI, and your sessions stay yours. Audio is transcribed and then discarded, never recorded. Transcripts are deleted within 24 hours. Only your feedback reports are kept, and you can delete all your data anytime in Settings.
FREE AND PREMIUM
Your first full voice session, including the complete feedback report, is free. Text practice is free every day, with a daily cap. Firmly Premium unlocks 10 voice sessions a month and unlimited text practice: $19.99 per month, or $89.99 per year. The yearly plan starts with a free trial: 7 days free, then $89.99 per year. Cancel anytime. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed in your App Store account settings.
Live AI role-play costs us real money per session. That is what your subscription covers.
