Vietgo is a complete Vietnamese dictionary, course and reader that works entirely offline. No account, no ads, no subscription, no tracking. Install it once and it is all on your phone: 54,686 dictionary entries, 313 grammar points, 730 phrases, 20 graded stories: working in airplane mode, on a night bus, anywhere the signal drops. Built for English speakers learning Vietnamese: travellers, people living in Vietnam, partners and families of Vietnamese speakers, and heritage learners. A DICTIONARY THAT TEACHES • 54,686 entries and 43,716 example sentences, all on your device • Search in Vietnamese or English and type without the diacritics: "hoc sinh" finds "học sinh" • Every entry gives the part of speech, classifier, Hán-Việt origin, dialect variants and word frequency • Tap to hear it read by your phone's Vietnamese voice • Paste any Vietnamese text: a message, a menu, an article and tap any word NORTHERN AND SOUTHERN, SIDE BY SIDE Most apps teach one variety of Vietnamese and never say which. Vietgo defaults to Northern (Hanoi) and shows the Southern (Saigon) form wherever it differs: separate IPA for both accents, north–south word pairs, and one setting that switches the pronunciation guides app-wide. The North holds all six tones apart; the South merges two of them, and the charts show both.
