Feet Inch Builder Calculator
Fractions, Stairs & Rafters
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Measure, calculate and convert on the jobsite: exact feet-inch fractions plus tools for stairs, rafters, concrete, tile, drywall, paint and lumber.
Built for people who measure, cut and build.
Work directly in feet, inches and fractions without converting measurements to decimals first. TrueRule keeps calculations exact and lets you move between feet-inches, decimal feet, decimal inches, millimeters and meters from the same result.
Use the main calculator for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with measurement fractions down to 1/32. Keep a running tape of your work, organize calculations by job, bring previous measurements back into the calculator, add labels, and export job records as PDF or CSV.
Trade tools help with everyday construction math:
• Stairs: rise, run, riser height, tread depth, stringer and angle
• Roof & rafters: pitch, common rafter, hip/valley, plumb and seat cuts
• Concrete: volume and material estimates
• Tile & flooring: area and layout calculations
• Drywall: sheet and area planning
• Paint: coverage calculations
• Lumber: board feet and material measurements
• Area: common shapes for jobsite estimating
Designed for jobsite use with large controls, a left-hand layout option and offline operation.
From framing and carpentry to remodeling, roofing and woodworking, TrueRule keeps measurement math in the units you actually use.
