A SHIELD, NOT A WALL
You are never locked out. Every shield offers three doors: put the thing on ice, walk away, or open the shop anyway for a few minutes. Cooldown only ever asks you to notice.
FIFTEEN SECONDS TO CAPTURE
Name the thing, tap a price, tap how you feel — bored, stressed, celebrating, deal FOMO, or "I need it". No keyboard gymnastics, no forms. The capture has to be faster than the craving.
ONE NIGHT ON ICE
Captured items wait under a slow 24-hour ring. Nothing is bought while an item cools. When the wait is over, one calm question: still want it?
WATCH IT ADD UP
Every item you let go counts toward your estimated savings — a number built entirely out of prices you typed yourself. See it by month, next to the hours of the day the shields keep meeting you.
NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF
Cooldown never scolds you for wanting things, and nothing turns red if you buy it. Both answers are good ones. There is no streak to break and no lecture waiting at the end.

No bank linking. No purchase history. No price tracking. No affiliate links. Apple's Screen Time hands Cooldown codes, not names, so it cannot see which shops you chose, what you browsed, or what you bought. Everything lives on your iPhone.

THE ONE THING THAT LEAVES THE PHONE
If you switch on the optional reflection companion, the item name you just typed, a rough price band (never the exact figure) and the feeling you tapped are sent to be answered, then discarded. The weekly write-up sends counts and totals only — never item names. It is off until you turn it on, and nothing else ever leaves: not your savings total, not your list, not which shops you protect.

Every price in Cooldown is your own estimate, and every figure is labelled estimated. Cooldown does not connect to your accounts, does not verify what anything cost, and does not give financial advice.
Cooldown asks permission to use Apple's Screen Time. You can withdraw it in Settings at any time.
Cooldown Premium is a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency. A subscription renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings.
