DEES TAPE: Track Recorder
Layer, mix & process audio
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
DEES TAPE turns your phone into a pocket multitrack tape recorder — the fast, tactile way to catch a song idea before it's gone.
Hit REC and go. Stack up to eight tracks, set levels and pan on real faders, add EQ and tape-style warmth, then bounce to a single mix or keep every track as a clean WAV. No sign-in, no account — your recordings live on your device and show up right in the Files app.
MULTITRACK, THE EASY WAY
- Up to eight independent tracks with arm, mute, level, and pan
- Overdub take after take against what you've already laid down
- Big VU meters and a satisfying reel that spins while you record
- On iPad: a Tracking view with lanes for every track
- On iPhone Duo: unfold for the full 8-track console with the FX rack beside it
SOUNDS THE WAY YOU WANT
- Per-track FX and EQ to shape each part
- A built-in FX marketplace of studio-style units — EQ, compression, saturation, delay, a DJ effects board, a true-peak limiter and more
- Choose your quality: 16-bit, 24-bit, or 32-bit float
BUILT FOR REAL GEAR
- Records from the built-in mic or a USB audio interface, including 32-bit float recorders and multi-input interfaces (pairs on tracks 1-4 or one input per track)
- MIDI learn: map buttons, knobs and faders on a USB or Bluetooth MIDI controller or footswitch to FX on/off and FX knobs
- Bluetooth MIDI footswitch support for hands-free transport and FX
YOUR FILES, YOUR RULES
- Bounce to a stereo mix or export WAV-per-track
- Split, import, and share straight from the app
- Everything is visible in the Files app — nothing is locked away
