Room Planner measures your room with your phone and shows what you photographed in a store or found online — on a photo of your room, to scale and in your light. We made it for the moment in a store when you look at a sofa and think: "Gorgeous... but will it work at home?"
Now you can see for yourself: shoot the laminate, curtains or a paint sample — a try-on takes 15–20 seconds.
WHERE TO START
Shoot the room from two to four spots, then the places you want to change: the corner by the window for an armchair, the wall for a wardrobe. Up to 20 shots per room, and each one can have a name. If a shot is blurry, the app offers a retake. There's also a demo room to explore.
ROOM PLAN — IF YOU WANT ONE
Try-ons work without a room plan, but they're more accurate with one. Plus, the window width for curtains and the floor and wall area are always at hand.
On an iPhone 12 Pro or later and an iPad Pro from 2020 on, walk around the room with your phone: the depth sensor builds the plan with walls, windows, doors, height and area. On other phones, you draw it in the editor: you start from a ready-made room, about 10 × 13 feet, and fit it to yours. Feet and inches or meters — whichever you're used to.
HOW A TRY-ON WORKS
1. Pick a photo — the original or one you've already changed.
2. Say in plain words what to change: "put the sofa against the left wall, across from the window", "hang long curtains".
3. If needed, add an item: shoot it in the store or save a picture from an online catalog. Items go to your library and work for any room.
4. In 15–20 seconds, the result is ready.
Along with the photo, you get tips: whether the item fits and what to measure, a rough price in your currency, how much laminate or paint to buy for your measurements, how to install it all. The tips are written by AI, so double-check the sizes before you buy.
WHAT YOU CAN TRY ON
• Furniture: sofa, armchair, wardrobe, table, shelving unit, bed
• Floors: laminate, parquet, tile, carpet — boards run under your furniture
• Curtains: fabric on your window, at your ceiling height
• Paint and wallpaper: color from a photo of a sample, on your walls
• Light: ceiling light, floor lamp, wall sconce
• Decor: picture, mirror, flowers
• And anything else: a Christmas tree in December, a cat on the windowsill, a dog by the door
No photo of the item? Words are enough: "take out the wardrobe", "move the sofa to the other wall", "swap the floor for a lighter one", "paint the walls warm gray". Play with it — the room is yours.
WHY IT'S NOT JUST A PRETTY PICTURE
Chatbots draw a magazine interior, not your room: they invent a window or change the floor. They don't know your sizes, so the sofa lands where it looks nice, not where it fits.
We take the photo of your room and, if you have one, the room plan with measurements. The plan goes into every try-on, so a seven-foot sofa stays seven feet. Your window, your radiator, your slightly crooked corner — all in place.
NOTHING GETS LOST
Like the result? Save it to the room and keep editing on top. Don't like it? Change the request or the item and try again — the original photo stays untouched. The before / after switch shows what changed.
Each saved edit stays with its shot, dated and with your request, so you can go back to any of them. You can share the result with family and friends.
SUBSCRIPTION
Free: try as many versions as you like, and save one try-on every four hours. You can keep up to three rooms.
Subscribers get try-ons with no waiting, unlimited rooms and two versions per try-on to pick the best from. Monthly or yearly, with a free 3-day trial. Prices vary by region and are shown in the App Store. Turn off auto-renewal any time in your Apple ID settings.
Photos live on your iPhone. They go to the server only for the try-on, and are deleted with the room or account.
