Gyroid is the logbook for your whole 3D-printing bench. Track what is left on every spool, what each print really cost, the settings that worked, and when each printer is due for maintenance. Any brand, fully offline, no account.
FILAMENT INVENTORY
Grams remaining, cost, brand, color, storage location and dry status for every spool. Group the inventory by shelf or dry box so you know which one to walk to. Log a print and the filament comes off the spool automatically. Put a spool on a kitchen scale, type the reading, and Gyroid does the tare math, remembering core weights you name and reuse. Low-filament flags warn you before a roll runs out mid-print, with the reorder link you saved right there. Once a spool has a few prints behind it, Gyroid tells you how many more it will last at your pace.
PRINT YOUR OWN SPOOL LABELS
Generate QR labels for your shelf and print them from your iPhone. Stick one on each roll: scanning it opens that spool in Gyroid, from the app or straight from the Camera app. No subscription, no label service, no account.
THE PRINT LOG
Model, printer, filament used, the settings that worked, success or failure, a photo, and the real cost. All searchable later, so "what did I do the last time this worked" takes seconds instead of an evening.
WHAT A PRINT ACTUALLY COSTS
Filament, electricity, machine depreciation, optional labor and a failure allowance, combined into one number per print. Multicolor prints record every spool they used, each charged at its own price, with power and wear counted once. The same engine powers the free calculators on our website. Sold a print? Note what it went for, and Bench stats turns cost into revenue, profit and margin, and ranks the models worth printing again.
MAINTENANCE BY PRINT-HOURS
Nozzle, belt and lubrication reminders are scheduled by each printer's real print-hours. Logging a print advances the clock for you.
ANY PRINTER, ANY BRAND
Not tied to one manufacturer's cloud or account. Track two FDM machines and a resin printer side by side, each with its own history, schedule and settings.
DROP IN A SLICER FILE
Open a G-code or 3MF export from your slicer and the entry pre-fills itself: model name, print time, grams, material. Two taps and it is logged.

There is no account to create, and no tracking or ads. Your data stays on your device and syncs only through your own iCloud. It works with no signal at all. A free one-file backup restores or moves your whole logbook.

New: Report a bug and Request a feature in Settings. Each opens a mail draft with your app version and device details already filled in.
Also in this update:
- Search your print history and your spools.
- A running print timer now shows at the top of Prints.
- Editors ask before discarding what you typed, and number fields keep out stray letters.
- Prices and rates like 22.99 read correctly in every language.
- Resin prints are entered in mL.
- Restoring a backup never overwrites newer changes, and CSV import works again.
- Apple Watch: Mark complete records print-hours and cost, and Extend, Stop and Mark complete reach your iPhone right away, so its alerts and Live Activity stay correct.
- Text fits better at large sizes, on small iPhones, on iPad and in dark mode.
- Fixes for a crash with very small usage values and for slow G-code imports.
