Infinity Rec is a multitrack recorder built for one job: capturing every second, however long the session runs. Concerts, broadcast, conferences, film sets, nature recording — anywhere a missed second cannot be shot again. RECORDING THAT HOLDS • Up to 128 tracks at 48 or 96 kHz, 32-bit float, written straight to disk as Broadcast Wave (BWF) • Files rotate on their own every 30 minutes; takes larger than 4 GB are written as RF64 • Disk looping: when space runs short, the oldest files of the take are recycled — the recording never stops • Warnings you cannot miss, in large type: under two hours of disk left, a failed write, an input gone silent • Mirror copy: every closed file is duplicated to a second disk while the take continues, so one disk failure never costs you the session TIMECODE AND MARKERS • LTC timecode from any input, or the system clock, stamped into every BWF file • Drop markers during the take with a single key MONITORING • Multitrack monitoring on your interface outputs, or a stereo cue on a separate output, while the take runs • Play back any archived session routed to the outputs it was recorded from EXPORT WHILE YOU RECORD • Stereo mix or one file per track, from any range of the take, while recording continues • WAV/BWF in 16, 24 or 32-bit float, MP3 or AAC • R128 loudness (-23 LUFS broadcast, -16 LUFS radio and podcast, -14 LUFS streaming) or peak normalisation • BWF timecode preserved, naming templates with date, project and track names EDIT WITHOUT RISK • Trim, cut, copy, paste, fades and volume curves are applied on playback and never written to the original file • Montage page to assemble a programme from several takes BUILT FOR PROFESSIONALS • Works with any Core Audio interface, Dante and MADI included, up to 128 inputs • Designed to run unattended for days: no dialog ever blocks the recording • English and French interface

  • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

• Only the patched inputs are recorded: a take's files no longer carry the unpatched inputs of the interface (20 inputs with 4 patched = 5 times less disk, and 5 times more look-back before the disk loop recycles). Each card folder keeps the list of its inputs (channels.txt). • The default recording folder chosen in Preferences applies immediately (it used to require a restart). • TIME LEFT is computed from the patched inputs (real data rate). • The "DISK SPACE: LESS THAN 2 HOURS" warning names the recording folder. • Export and Montage: new true peak limiter ("TP limiter") for R128 loudness — the target is reached exactly and peaks stay below -1 dBTP, with no distortion (5 ms look-ahead, program-dependent release). Default set in Preferences. • R128 without the limiter: gain now stops when the true peak reaches -1 dBTP (EBU R128), measuring the peaks between samples that clip converters and MP3/AAC encoders. • The export status shows the loudness reached, the peak in dBTP and the limiter's gain reduction. • Button tooltips now appear. • Player: compressed sounds now play — MP2 (including broadcast WAV files carrying MPEG Layer II), MP3, AAC/M4A, AIFF, FLAC. Your original file is never modified. • Player: click inside the playing sound to move the playhead; a red sweep warns during the last 15 seconds of sounds longer than 30 s; clearer colours for playing, next and upcoming sounds; scroll bar for long lists. • Export: the overview now shows the whole take, however long (it was limited to the last 10 minutes). • Export: track names from "Name tracks" appear on the lanes; files sent to the Player are dated YYYYMMDD. • Dante and other network cards: Infinity Rec never changes their sample rate; the recording adopts the network rate and warns if it changes. • Input cards chosen in routing are reopened at the next launch. • Power cut or forced sleep during a take: the gap is kept in place on the timeline, its length taken from the timecode. • "Test this disk…" in Preferences, with a PDF report. Event log in Preferences. • Fixes: export during recording no longer truncated, TIME LEFT accurate, Trash refused as a destination.
