FitBoost: Workout Log

Your log picks the next weight

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

An in-workout coach sizes your next set and says when to stop. Log on Apple Watch or Garmin, and the muscle recovery map is free. Workout logging is free and unlimited. FitBoost is a training log for strength and cardio that turns your history into a concrete answer: how much to lift next. ■ A coach inside every workout Finish a set, log how hard it was, and your next set's weight is set for you. When fatigue starts costing you reps, it tells you to stop, and rest times adjust to how hard that last set was. The more you train, the more it learns your own stopping point and how you rate effort. ■ Apple Watch and Garmin Finish a set on your wrist and pick the effort. The rest timer starts, and a tap on your wrist says when it's time to go. 41 Garmin watch models log sets and rest from the wrist too. ■ Free muscle recovery map and pain notes A body map shows how recovered each muscle is from recent training. On days you'd hit something still recovering, the home screen tells you first. Log pain and the lifts that use that muscle get lighter, with substitutes suggested. ■ Your routines go up on their own Start a routine and today's weights and reps come from your last sessions. Hit the top of your rep range and it goes up; miss it and it holds; miss twice and it eases off. Each kind of equipment uses its own step, and after a long break you come back gently. ■ Strength balance Compares your squat, bench press, deadlift, overhead press and barbell row against typical ratios. If one is lagging, it suggests an extra set or an accessory for your routine. ■ My gym and plate math Add your bar and the plates you own to see what goes on each side and in what order. Suggested weights snap to loads you can actually build, in kg or lb. ■ Your records are free and unlimited Workout records have no cap. No account needed, and your log stays on your device. iCloud keeps your iPhone and iPad in sync for free, and a backup file moves your log to another device. The free plan includes up to 3 routines and 5 custom exercises. ■ Train with your coach Pick a date range and send your trainer a workout report. Trainers keep each client's log separate from their own. ■ It works out your next load Completed sets of 12 reps or fewer feed Epley, Brzycki and Lombardi estimates, and we take the median. Log RIR and the reps you had left sharpen it further. ■ 1,600+ exercises, every one with a guide Every exercise carries setup, execution, breathing and precautions. Filter by muscle group and equipment to find what you need. ■ Five languages Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. FitBoost PRO adds routine auto progression, a personal 1–15 rep load curve, the in-workout coach, targets that learn from you, strength balance fixes, plateau detection, gym-ready loads and a weekly coaching report, with unlimited routines and custom exercises. PRO+ adds a block-periodized program, daily intensity tuned to your readiness, weekly sets per muscle and nutrition targets. 1.7.1 - Training goal: pick strength, hypertrophy, fat loss, recomposition, muscular endurance, hybrid or fitness & health, and the program builder, coach, nutrition and set plan start from it. Change it anytime from the chip next to the date on Home or in Settings. - Drop sets and back-off sets: add them from an exercise's ⋯ menu and see suggested weights and reps first. Use them as is or edit any row. There's no rest before a drop. - Set plan: tap "Plan" on an exercise and pick straight sets, top set + back-off, or a drop at the end to get a weight for every set that matches your sets and reps. It opens with the setup that fits your training goal, and also works when editing or logging past workouts. - When logging a past workout, changing cardio time or distance fills in estimated calories right away, no calculator needed. Calories you typed or imported from Health stay as they are. - Workouts that watch apps like Garmin Connect add to Health late are now imported too: the last 7 days are re-read every time, so workouts missed by earlier versions come in after the update. - Scrolling to the end of a list no longer leaves the last items under the home indicator. - Apple Watch: drop and back-off sets are labeled, and there's no rest before a drop. Also new since 1.6: - A real start for first-timers: tell us how long you've lifted, and if you're new we build your first routine around how often and where you train. At the gym it starts with machines, which are easier to learn. - The first time you see a screen, a tip bubble points at what to tap, and during a workout a single line above Done guides you. Turn tips off or replay them in Settings > Help. - For an exercise you've never done, the steps and an "I don't have this" button sit under your sets so you can swap it on the spot. - Even on Free, newcomers get a nudge to go a little heavier or lighter next set based on how the last one felt. - Choose from 4 FITBOOST wordmarks and 3 app icons that follow your theme color. - Tell a friend about FitBoost from the Menu. - Hybrid race prep: practice 1 km runs plus 8 stations the real way, with every segment timed. Pick a goal finish time to compare each segment, and see where you lost the most time. Free includes 3 practices a week. - 8 new programs: Upper/Lower Power & Size, Volume-Recovery-Intensity, Three-Tier Linear, Powerbuilding, Upper-Body Focus, Lower & Glutes Focus, Full-Body Starter and Home Dumbbell. - Today's pick on Home chooses a routine from recovery, rest days and your equipment, and tells you why. Mark equipment that isn't available in My Equipment. - Set effort is now one row above Done instead of a pop-up. You can also turn it off, and your watch follows. - Voice coach for lifts reads your next set at 10 seconds left and when rest ends. Watches buzz once at 10 seconds. - When peer data is still thin, a standards table shows your rough level. - Large-screen layouts for iPad, tablets and foldables, and a refreshed light theme.
